The Barefoot Movement - Saturday, February 18th

the Barefoot Movement coming to SxSE The Barefoot Movement, a combo of talented musicians from Tennessee and North Carolina, blends Southern-style bluegrass improv with modern acoustic jazz & rock influences. Noah Wall, singer/songwriter and fiddler, has a captivating voice. She rings clear and full as guitarist Quentin Acres and mandolin player Tommy Norris provide an intricate backdrop of harmony and melody.

Whether performing renditions of mountain standards or her own narrative lyrics, Noah shows remarkable range and talent. Quentin's robust baritone provides an excellent contrast and anchor for band's melodies. With additional rhythm and bottom provided on upright bass by SxSE's own Hasee Ciaccio, the BFM represents the new wave of New Grass.

Opening for the show will be Debbie Daniel and Jack McGregor from Columbia, SC with their own special folk music style. Debbie and Jack will start off the evening's entertainment at 7 o'clock and the Barefoot Movement will take center stage at 8pm.

The Randall Bramblett Band - Saturday, March 10th

SxSE will welcome the Randall Bramblett Band to the Myrtle Beach Train Depot in March
Randall and the guys will be returning to the Train Depot in March bringing their best jazz & blues to entertain their SxSE friends. While Bramblett may not be a household name, he is legendary within music circles for his songwriting and musicianship. He released a pair of acclaimed solo albums in the mid-‘70s, then joined the jazz-rock outfit Sea Level, becoming their principal songwriter and vocalist. From there, Bramblett embarked on a path as a big-league, musical utility man (primarily sax and keys) and landed on the speed dial of some of the greatest names in rock history, including Traffic, Steve Winwood, Levon Helm and Bonnie Raitt.

“Randall is the most talented and prolific songwriter I have the privilege of knowing.” —Bill Berry (R.E.M.)

“[He's] one of Georgia's musical treasures…Guaranteed to improve your day!” —Dave Schools (Widespread Panic)

“…the best songs of his career.” (No More Mr. Lucky) —Warren Haynes (Allman Brothers Band)

“Randall is in my opinion the most gifted & talented southern singer-songwriter musicians of the past several decades.” —Chuck Leavell (Rolling Stones, Allman Brothers)

Verlon's songs have been recorded by an amazing list of well-known musicians such as Sam Bush, Kenny Rogers, Alan Jackson, Dierks Bentley, Del McCoury, Jimmy Buffett, and the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band.
